Not to be confused with Amazon Music Prime, Amazon Music. Either way i wish the amazon unlimited would play better sound because it is actually nice to use alexa while i drive. Amazon has offered a digital music service of some kind since 2007, but it still feels like a newcomer. I may have to do like a post suggested and download the older version of the android app and see if i can get the youtube music app to cooperate like it used to. i dont even know if the the youtube app has an equalizer but it does not matter because it sounds better anyway. ![]() I began to play with the equalizer in amazon unlimited but none of the presets sounded as good as the basic youtubemusic setup. So i began playing individual songs on both apps back to back via my phone inside my 2020 truck which has a nice system in it. After a few days i felt like my music did not sound as good as i was used to on youtubemusic so double checked the settings. i set it up to use the best quality settings and started using it. i cannot even get the downloads to play in order i downloaded them. this past year the app has started acting up with random songs played within my playlists as well as in my downloads. Amazon Music Unlimited is the company's premium music streaming service, offering a much larger library than the Amazon Music Prime service that comes included with an Amazon Prime. I know this is 8 months late but my experience is based on years of having youtube music premium. Obviously your mileage may vary but YTM works for me and I'm no longer chasing an Amazon alternative. I personally like to conserve my phone’s battery, and by having a dedicated music player that works with my Amazon Music service, I can listen to music for hours without touching my phone at all The Mighty Vibe is small, measuring only 1.5 inch x 1.5 inch square. YTM also lets you upload your own music collection and although it doesn't integrate well with the rest of the service it means I at least can listen to everything using one app. In the past, some audiophiles may have scoffed at the. Now I know it's not "hi-fi" quality (256kbps AAC) but I'm 51 years old and honestly cannot tell the difference between this and CD quality □♂️ (tried many blind tests over the last year and nope, can't tell.) I do think AAC sounds better than Spotify's ogg vorbis but have nothing scientific to back that up lol Music streaming services are a world of convenience and discovery, allowing you to listen to your favorite artists easily and quickly. ![]() The Android app UI is fantastic but the personalised playlists are absolutely spot on. So I tried YTM and it's the best service I've used. I tried Tidal first but even though the app is pretty good the discovery and playlist side of things aren't for me plus playback could be glitchy at times. (as an aside I gave up on Spotify when they started ramming podcasts down my throat and I've always disliked the UI even though they win hands down when it comes to integrating with pretty much anything.) I've been using YTM for a while after finally giving up on Amazon due to the woeful Android app and incorrect songs on many albums.
